Landmark Film for Rajnikanth!

All the nine Hindi films of director Rajkumar Santoshi have made a mark at the national level. Now a Tamil movie for Sivaji Productions is on the cards, he tells S. R. ASHOK KUMAR.

Q : Talking of stories, what do you think of "Chandra Mukhi," the new Rajini film?

A : I haven't heard it in full but from what I learnt through director Vasu and Sivaji's son Ram Kumar, I think the film will be an exciting one. It would be a landmark film for Rajnikanth also. His fans are going to love it. I am glad that Sivaji Productions is doing a film after a long gap.

‘‘நயன் தாரான்னா ‘நட்சத்திர கண்கள்’னு அர்த்தமாம். ஆனா, நான் ஒரு சினிமா நட்சத்திரம் ஆவேன்னு நினைச்சுப் பார்த்ததே இல்லை. திரிவில்லாவில், மார்தம்மா காலேஜ்ல ஜாலியா இங்கிலீஷ் லிட்ரேச்சர் படிச்சிட் டிருந்தேன். ஆசைக்கு அப்பப்போ மாடலிங் செய்ய ஆரம்பிச்சேன். காலேஜ்ல என் தோழிகள் நடுவில் நான் ஒரு ஸ்வீட் ஏஞ்சல். திடீர்னு 2002\ல் கேரளாவின் பெஸ்ட் மாடலிங் கேர்ள் அவார்டு எனக்குக் கிடைச்சுது. அவ்ளோதான்... அதிர்ஷ்ட தேவதை அத்தனை கதவுகளையும் ஒருசேரத் திறந்துவிட்டாள்!


கேரள சினிமாவின் டாப் டைரக்டர் சத்யன் அந்திக்காடு என் புகைப்படங்கள் பார்த்து இருப்பார் போலிருக்கிறது. ‘என்ன பொண்ணு, சினிமாவில் ஆர்வம் உண்டா?’னு கேட்டார். எனக்கு மனசுக்குள் ஆயிரம் மத்தாப்பு. ஆனாலும் பயம். எங்கப்பா குரியன்தான் தைரியம் தந்தார். நான் ஹீரோயின் ஆனேன்!ÕÕ கரிய பெரிய விழிகள் ஜொலிக்கப் பேசுகிறார் தாரா.

‘மனசின் அக்கரை’ படத்தில் ஜெயராம் ஜோடி. முதல் படமே சூப்பர் ஹிட். அடுத்ததாக பாசில் சாரின் படம். ‘விஸ்மயிர் தும்பத்து’... மோகன்லாலுக்கு ஜோடியாக. அதுவும் ஹிட். அப்பறம் ஷாஜி கைலாஷின் Ôநாட்டு ராஜாÕ... இதிலும் மோகன்லால் ஜோடி. இப்போ பொண்ணு ஹாட்ரிக் ராணி!


ÔÔஇரண்டே வரு ஷம்... பத்திரிகைகளில் என் புகைப்படங்கள்... டி.வி&க்களில் என் பாடல் கள்னு திடீர்னு நான் கேரளாவின் டார்லிங் ஆகிட்டேன். காவ்யா, நவ்யா, மீரா, ரேணுகானு அழகழகான சினிமா பொண்ணுங்க மத்தியில் இப்போ நானும் ஒரு நட்சத் திரம். எங்கே போனாலும் என்னை அடையாளம் கண்டுபிடிச்சு, கூட்டம் கூடிடறாங்க. ஆனா, எனக்கு சினிமா உலகம் இன்னும் முழுசாப் பழகலை. பெரிய பெரிய டைரக்டர்ஸ், லால் சார் போல ஒரு ஜீனியஸ் இவங்க தயவால் கொஞ்சங்கொஞ்சமா சினிமா கத்துட்டிருக்கேன். ஹய்யோ... என்னமா நடிப்பார் தெரியுமா லால்! ஒரு பார்வை, ஒரு வார்த்தை, ஒரு சிரிப்புனு லால் சார் வந்து நின்னாலே, ஃபிரேம்ல அவ்ளோ பிரமாதமா இருக்கும். இயல்பான நடிப்புதான் எனக்கும் பிடிக்குங்கறதால அவரை என்னோட புரொபஸர் மாதிரிதான் பார்ப்பேன்ÕÕ என்று வெட்கப்படுகிறார்.


நயன் தாராவைத் தமிழுக்கு முதலில் அழைத்து வந்தவர் ஹரி. ‘ஐயா’வில் சரத்குமாருக்கு ஜோடி. திருநெல்வேலி தாவணிப் பெண்ணாக அசத்திக் கொண்டிருக்கிறாராம் தாரா.

ÔÔதமிழ்ப் படம் பண்றது ரொம்பப் பெரிய விஷயம். அதிலும் ‘ஐயா’ படத்தில் எனக்கு ரொம்ப ஹோம்லியான ரோல். ஐஸ்வர்யா ராய் & நந்திதாதாஸ் இவங்க ரெண்டு பேருக்கும் நடுவில் ஒரு லைன் இருக்கும்ல... அப்படியான காரெக்டர்ஸ் செய்யத்தான் ஆசை!’’& கனவுகள் மிதக்கின்றன தாராவின் நயனங்களில்.

‘‘சென்னையிலிருந்து போன் வந்தது.எல்லா தேவதைகளாலும் அன்னிக்கு ஆசிர்வதிக்கப்பட்டேன்னு நினைக்கிறேன். ‘ரஜினி சாருக்கு நீதான் தாரா ஹீரோயின். நவம்பர்ல ஷ¨ட்டிங் ஆரம்பம்’னு சொன்னாங்க. ஹைய்யோ... நான் மிதந்துட்டே இருக்கேன். ரஜினி சாரின் ரசிகை நான். அவர் ஸ்டைல், மானரிஸம் இதெல்லாம் வீட்ல பண்ணி விளையாடுவோம். Ôஜக்குபாய்Õ, Ôசந்திரமுகிÕ பற்றி நியூஸ் வரும்போதெல்லாம் ஆர்வமா படிப்பேன். ஆனால், நானே ரஜினிக்கு ஹீரோயின் ஆனேன் என்பது ஸ்வீட் ஷாக். இதோ சென்னைக்குக் கிளம்பிட்டே இருக்கேன்’’ & தேவதையின் முகத்தில் கோடி மின்னல் கூடிக் கை கொட்டுகிற பிரகாசம்..

‘‘அப்போ தமிழில் ஜோதிகா, சினேகா, த்ரிஷாவுக்கெல்லாம் இனிமேல் நீங்கதான் போட்டியா?’’ என்றால்,

ÔÔஅய்யோ, அவங்க ரொம்ப சீனியர்ஸ். எனக்கு அக்காக்கள் மாதிரி!’’ என்று சிரிக்கிறார்.

In this exclusive interview to Cinesouth, Director P.Vasu have shared
interesting informations about his mega venture ‘Chandramukhi’. Rajini’s
character, his ‘get up’, the places in which shooting is going to be held
etc…. The inauguration function, an event with lot of expectation all around
have taken place at Shivaji Ganesan’s house today (23-10-04 –morning. After
Pooja we asked  the Director about the film, Rajini’s character.

Excerpts of this interview-

When is the shooting for ‘Chandramukhi’ going to start, and where?

Here , in this same place ( Shivaji’s house) the shooting is going to
start the day after tomorrow. After that the shooting will be conducted
without any break, excepting on festival days like Diwali; Christmas and
Pongal. We have planned to release the ‘Chandramukhi’ on April 14th 2005.

Usually, all Rajini’s movies will began at the Pillaiyar Temple in AVM
studio? Why the venue is changed this time?

For this film the shooting will begin in Shivaji’s house. This is also a
temple. Though we are beginning our shooting here, after this we planned to
shoot in other places only. For this we are searching for very big open
space.

About is the character of Rajini, is this movie?

It is a character bubbling with enthusiasm mixed with comedy streak. Just
because the title of the movie ‘Chandramukhi’ is the name of a women,
somebody is asking, whether it would be women oriented subject, But movies,
like ‘Adimaippen’, ‘Mahadevi’, ‘Tillana Mohanambal’.. were having women’s
name as title. But Can anybody say the characters enacted MGR, Shivaji,
didn’t have the importance? same thing goes with Chandramukhi. Rajini
Character is blended with everything, fans are hoping for. The name of the
Rajini’s character in this film is Saravana.

Who is going to the heroine?

I am sorry, I cannot say anything about this now. Only Rajini sir will
announce about that.

Is he going to act is different ‘getup’ in this movie?

His Hair-style will be same as ever. He will be as young as he was in
Rajathi Raja.

 

Who are all the others acting in this film?

Apart from Rajini Sir, Prabhu, Vijayakumar, Sheela, Malavika, Vadivelu,
and others. Vidyasagar is scoring the music. Sekar Joseph is in charge for
the Camera.

Will there be Punch Dialogues?

There will not be any punch dialogues, or dialogue with political intone.
This film will be true entertainer and feel free movie. That’s it.

 

`சந்திரமுகி' படப்பிடிப்பு தொடங்கியது

சென்னை, அக். 26-

`சந்திரமுகி' படப்பிடிப்பு சென்னையில் உள்ள சிவாஜி கார்டனில் நேற்று தொடங் கியது. ரஜினிகாந்த் டீசர்ட்- ஜீன்ஸ் பேண்ட் - கூலிங் கிளாசுடன் இளமையாக காணப்பட்டார். ஸ்டண்ட் நடிகர்கள் 30 பேருடன் அவர் மோதிய சண்டை காட்சி நேற்று படமாக்கப் பட்டது.

`சந்திரமுகி'

ரஜினிகாந்த் 2 வருட இடை வெளிக்குப்பின், `சந்திரமுகி' என்ற புதிய படத்தில் நடிக்கிறார்.

இந்த படத்தை பல வெற்றி படங்களை இயக்கிய பி.வாசு டைரக்டு செய்கிறார். சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் சார்பில், நடிகர் பிரபு தயாரிக்கிறார்.

படப்பிடிப்பு தொடங்கியது

`சந்திரமுகி' படத்தின் தொடக்க விழா பூஜை கடந்த 23-ந்தேதி, சென்னை தியாகராய நகரில் உள்ள சிவாஜிகணேசன் வீட்டில் நடந்தது.

படப்பிடிப்பு, சென்னை ராமா வரத்தில் உள்ள சிவாஜி கார்ட னில் நேற்று தொடங்கியது.

கே.பாலசந்தர்

ரஜினிகாந்தை தமிழ்ப்பட உலகுக்கு அறிமுகம் செய்த டைரக்டர் கே.பாலசந்தர், படப் பிடிப்பை தொடங்கி வைப்பதற் காக அங்கு வந்திருந்தார்.

அவர் `கிளாப்' அடிக்க, சிவாஜி யின் மூத்த மகன் ராம்குமார் காமிராவின் `ஸ்விட்ச்சை ஆன்' செய்தார்.

டீசர்ட் - ஜீன்ஸ் பேண்ட்

ரஜினிகாந்த் நீலநிற டீசர்ட்டும், ஜீன்ஸ் பேண்ட்டும், கூலிங் கிளாசும் அணிந்து இளமையாக காணப்பட்டார்.

அவர், ரவுடிகளுடன் மோது வது போன்ற சண்டை காட்சி முதலில் படமாக்கப்பட்டது.

இந்த சண்டை காட்சியை ஸ்டண்ட் மாஸ்டர் தினேஷ் படமாக்கினார்.

ரஜினிகாந்துடன் 30 ஸ்டண்ட் நடிகர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு நடித்தனர்.

அவர்களையும், 25 குவாலிஸ் கார்கள், ஒரு டெம்போ டிராவ லர் வேனையும் ரஜினிகாந்த் அடித்து துவம்சம் செய்வது போல் அந்த காட்சி படமானது.

அடையாள கார்டு

`சந்திரமுகி' படத்தில் நடிக்கும் நடிகர் - நடிகைகள் உள்பட படப் பிடிப்பு குழுவினர் 150 பேர் களுக்கு அடையாள கார்டு கொடுக்கப்பட்டு இருக்கிறது.

அடையாள கார்டு வைத்திருப் பவர்கள் மட்டுமே சிவாஜி கார் டனுக்குள் அனுமதிக்கப்படு கிறார்கள்.

ஐதராபாத்

தொடர்ந்து சிவாஜி கார்ட னில், `சந்திரமுகி' படப்பிடிப்பு நடைபெறுகிறது.

நவம்பர் 1-ந்தேதி முதல் ஐதரா பாத்தில் படப்பிடிப்பு தொடர் கிறது.

கருவறைக்கு அழைத்து செல்லப்பட்ட ரஜpனியும், உடன் வந்தவர்களும் ஆதிபராசக்தி அம்மனுக்கு தீபாராதனை காட்டி வழிபட்டனர். தொடர்ந்து புற்று மண்டபம், நாச சன்னதி, ஸ்தபவிருட்சம், அதர்வண காளி சன்னதிகளில் வழிபாடு செய்து விட்டு, சித்தர் பீடத்தின் பின்புறமும், எதிhp லும் உள்ள ஆதிபராசக்தி கல்வி, மருத்துவ நிலையங்கள், சமுதாய கூடங்களையும் பார்வையிட்டனர்.

பின்னர் ரஜpனிகாந்த் ஆதிபராசக்தி விவசாயப் பண்ணையில் அமைந்துள்ள கன்னி கோவிலுக்கு சென்று வணங்கிவிட்டு, தியானம் செய்தார். மீண்டும் சித்தர் பீடத்திற்கு திரும்பி வந்த ரஜpனிகாந்த் அருட்கூடத்தில் பங்காரு அடிகளாரை மீண்டும் சந்தித்து ஆசி பெற்று விட்டு சென்னை திரும்பினார்.

சென்னை, அக்.24-

ரஜினிகாந்த் நடிக்கும் `சந்திரமுகி' படத்தின் தொடக்க விழா பூஜை சிவாஜி கணேசன் வீட்டில் நேற்று நடந்தது. அதில் ரஜினிகாந்த்-கமலஹாசன் கலந்து கொண்டனர். ரஜினிகாந்த் நெற்றியில், கமலா அம்மாள் திலகமிட்டு வாழ்த்தினார்.

`சந்திரமுகி'

2 வருட இடைவெளிக்குப் பின், ரஜினிகாந்த் `சந்திரமுகி' என்ற புதிய படத்தில் நடிக்கிறார்.

இந்த படத்தை சிவாஜி கணேசனின் சொந்த பட நிறுவனமான சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் சார்பில், அவருடைய மகன் நடிகர் பிரபு தயாரிக்கிறார்.

படத்தில் முக்கிய வேடம் ஒன்றிலும் அவர் நடிக்கிறார்.

தொடக்க விழா

இந்த படத்தின் தொடக்க விழா பூஜை சென்னை தியாகராயநகரில் உள்ள சிவாஜி கணேசன் வீட்டில் நேற்று நடந்தது.

விழாவையொட்டி சிவாஜி கணேசன் அவரது தாயார் ராஜாமணி அம்மாளுடன், அமர்ந்து சாமி கும்பிடுவது போன்ற `போட்டோ', வீட்டின் நடு ஹாலில் அலங்கரித்து வைக்கப்பட்டு இருந்தது.

ரஜினி வந்தார்

காலை 11 மணிக்கு ரஜினிகாந்த் அங்கு வந்தார். அவர் கதர் வேட்டியும், கதர் சட்டையும் அணிந்திருந்தார்.

சிவாஜி மகன்கள் ராம்குமார், பிரபு இருவரும் ரஜினியை வரவேற்று அழைத்து வந்தார்கள்.

அதைத் தொடர்ந்து புரோகிதர் மந்திரம் ஓத, பூஜை நடந்தது. ரஜினிகாந்த் கண்களை மூடியபடி, 10 நிமிடம் சாமிகும்பிட்டார்.



கமலா அம்மாள்

சிவாஜியின் மனைவி கமலா அம்மாள், ரஜினிகாந்த் நெற்றியில் திலகமிட்டு வாழ்த்தினார். அவரிடம் ரஜினிகாந்த் ஆசி பெற்றார்.

ராம்குமார், பிரபு, `சந்திரமுகி' படத்தின் டைரக்டர் பி.வாசு ஆகியோருக்கும் கமலா அம்மாள் திலகமிட்டு வாழ்த்தினார்.

கமலஹாசன்

சொந்த பட வேலை தொடர்பாக மும்பை சென்றிருந்த கமலஹாசன், இந்த விழாவில் கலந்து கொள்வதற்காகவே, விமானம் மூலம் பறந்து வந்தார்.

அவரும், ரஜினிகாந்தும் கட்டித் தழுவிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

பேட்டி

பூஜையை முடித்துக் கொண்டு ரஜினிகாந்த் புறப்படுவதற்கு முன், `தினத்தந்தி' நிருபரிடம் கூறியதாவது:-

"சந்திரமுகி படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு சென்னையில் நாளை (திங்கட்கிழமை) தொடங்குகிறது. இங்கு சில நாட்கள் படப்பிடிப்பு நடத்திவிட்டு, பிறகு ஐதராபாத்தில் படப்பிடிப்பை நடத்த திட்டமிட்டு இருக்கிறோம். மற்ற விவரங்களை பிரபு கூறுவார்".

இவ்வாறு ரஜினிகாந்த் கூறினார்.

பிரபு பேட்டி

அதன் பிறகு பிரபு, நிருபர்களுக்கு பேட்டி அளித்தார். அவர் கூறியதாவது:-

"சந்திரமுகி படத்தில் ஒரு கதாநாயகியாக சிம்ரன் ஏற்கனவே ஒப்பந்தம் செய்யப்பட்டு விட்டார்.

இன்னொரு கதாநாயகியாக, ரஜினிசாருக்கு ஜோடியாக மலையாள நடிகை நயன்தாரா நடிக்கிறார்.

வடிவேல்

விஜயகுமார், நாசர், வடிவேல் ஆகிய மூவரும் முக்கிய வேடங்களில் நடிக்கிறார்கள்.

பிரபல ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் வின்சென்ட்டின் சகோதரி மகன் சேகர்ஜோசப், இந்த படத்துக்கு ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்கிறார். இவர், `ஒக்கடு' என்ற தெலுங்கு படத்துக்கு ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்தவர்.

வித்யாசாகர் இசையமைக்கிறார். சண்டை காட்சிகளை தினேஷ் அமைக்கிறார்."

மேற்கண்டவாறு பிரபு கூறினார்.

தயாநிதிமாறன்

மத்திய மந்திரி தயாநிதிமாறன், ராம்குமார், பிரபு இருவரிடமும் டெலிபோன் மூலம் வாழ்த்து தெரிவித்தார்.

Somebody had to speak out as the rumors were becoming murky.
And director K S Ravikumar, the jilted director of Jaggubhai, has done just that.
The director says Rajnikanth has not shelved the movie and it would begin after his forthcoming venture Chandramukhi to be produced by Sivaji Productions and being directed by P Vasu is completed.

Asked about the reasons for postponing the movie, the director says, 'though we began preparations to begin Jaggubhai's shooting, the story needed more polishing before going to the floors. The work was on in this regard.
At this juncture came P Vasu's story which impressed Rajnikanth. Hence Jagguubhai had to be postponed.

"The story for Jaggubhai has shaped up well, but towards the end it needs some fine-tuning as we were keen that it should not remind the audiences of any other earlier movies.

"Rajnikanth was kind enough to come towards me and express his inability to begin Jaggubhai. He was also keen that I get another offer, until he completes Chandramukhi. As it happens, I am now busy with my next venture that would star Ajith in the lead. The movie would go to floors next month and would be released on 14 April, 2005 along with Rajnikanth's Chandramukhi.

"P Vasu is a good director who had combined with Rajnikanth in earlier movies like Mannan and Uzhaipalli. I am sure that Chandramuki too would recreate the magic, Ravikumar points out.

Interestingly he also adds that that as he was in the discussions for Jaggubhai, Kamal had approached him to direct his Vasoolraja MBBS. "Since I was busy with Jaggubhai then, I could not take up the offer. Director Charan who directed the movie did an amazing job of it. However I have no regrets. Now, I am working with Ajith and followed by Jaggubhai with Rajnikanth".

டாப் கியரில் கிளம்பிவிட்டது ‘சந்திரமுகி’ பட வேலைகள். அடுத்த மாதம் 15&ம் தேதி ஷ¨ட்டிங் ஆரம்பம். ஏப்ரல் 14 ரிலீஸ் எனத் திட்டம். பட்ஜெட்?! பதினெட்டு கோடி ரூபாயைத் தொடும் என்கிறார்கள்.


எல்லாமே மின்னல் வேகத்தில் நடந்தது. ‘ஜக்குபாய்’ படத்தை எமோஷனலாக அறிவித்த ரஜினி, அதை மேற்கொண்டு நகர்த்த முடியாமல் தவித்தார். ரஜினி விரும்பியதை ரவிக்குமார் ரசிக்கவில்லை. ரவிக்குமார் விவரித்த கதையில் ரஜினிக்கு மாற்றுக்கருத்து இருந்தது. இரண்டு மாதங்கள் டிஸ்கஷன் நடந்தும் எதுவும் தெளிவாகவில்லை. ரஜினியும் ஆன்மிக டூர் கிளம்பிவிட்டார். ஆந்திரா, கர்நாடகா என அலைந்து திரிந்தவருக்கு திடீரெனப் பொறிதட்ட... ஆரம்பமானது ‘சந்திரமுகி’.

பிரபு, பி.வாசு இருவருக்கும் அடித்தது அதிர்ஷ்டம். கேளம்பாக்கத்தில், ரஜினியின் பண்ணைவீட்டில்தான் கதை விவாதம் நடக்கிறது. மலையாளத்தில் வெளியான ‘மணிச்சித்திரத்தாழ்’ படத்தைத் தழுவி, கன்னடத்தில் பி.வாசு எடுத்த ‘ஆப்தமித்ரா’ படம்தான் ‘சந்திரமுகி’க்கு இன்ஸ்பிரேஷன். ஆனால், ரஜினிக்கு ஏற்றமாதிரி கலக்கலாக மாற்றியமைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது திரைக்கதை. ‘‘இது ஏதோ சைக்யாட்ரிஸ்ட் டாக்டர் கதைனு ரசிகர்கள் சீரியஸா எடுத்துக்குவாங்க. அப்படியிருக்கக் கூடாது. ஓபனிங்லேயிருந்து க்ளைமாக்ஸ் வரைக்கும் அடி பின்னியெடுக்கிற மாதிரி கலர் ஃபுல்லா பண்ணணும்... ‘பாட்ஷா’ மாதிரி’’ என்றாராம் ரஜினி.

படத்தின் ஆரம்பமே அமர்க்களம்தான். டெல்லி, மும்பை, பெங்களூர், ஹைதராபாத் என எல்லா மாநிலங்களின் தலைநகரங்களைக்காட்டி அங்கே உள்ள மருத்துவமனைகளில் நோயாளிகள் படுத்துக் கிடப்பார்கள். ‘யாராலேயும் குணப்படுத்த முடியலியே’ என்று டாக்டர்கள் கையைப் பிசைந்தபடியிருக்க, ‘இவங்களைக் குணப்படுத் தணும்னா அதுக்கு ஒரே ஒருத்தர் இருக்கார். அவருதான்...’’ என்று சொல்ல, ரஜினி என்ட்ரி. அதிரடி வைத்தியத்தில் அத்தனை பேரையும் காப்பாற்றுவாராம் ரஜினி.

கடைசியில், சென்னையில் சித்தப் பிரமை பிடித்தவர்போல, பிரபுவின் மனைவி சிம்ரன். பிரச்னை என்ன என்று பல டாக்டர்கள் சோதித்துப் பார்த்தும் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியவில்லை. ‘‘நீங்க எல்லோரும் போங்க. அவர் வந்து காப்பாத்துவாரு’’ என்கிறார் பிரபு. உடனே சுற்றியிருப் பவர்கள், ‘‘ஆமா, அவரு எங்க வர? எப்போ ட்ரீட்மெண்ட் குடுக்க? குடுத்தாலும் எடுபடுமா? அவரு வந்தும் குணமாகலேன்னா?’’ என ஆளாளுக்குக் கேள்விகள். ‘‘அவர் எப்போ வருவார்... எப்படி வருவார்னு யாருக்குமே தெரியாது. ஆனா, வரவேண்டிய நேரத்துல வந்து நிப்பார். இப்போ பாருங்க’’ என ரஜினியின் பிரபல வசனம் சொல்லி, பிரபு அர்த்தத்துடன் சிரிக்க, புயலாக ரஜினி தரிசனம்.

‘‘தாங்க்ஸ் குரு’’ என்று ரஜினிக்கு பிரபு செல்லமாக முத்தம் கொடுக்க... ‘‘அதான் வந்துட்டேன்ல, தாங்க்ஸ் எனக்கில்ல...’’ என்று விரல் உயர்த்தி வானம் காட்டுவாராம் ரஜினி. ‘‘உங்க வாய்ஸ் எடு படலைனு சொன்னாங்களே குரு’’ என்று பிரபு கேட்க, ‘‘இப்போதானே கண்ணா ரியல் ஆட்டமே ஆரம்பம்’’ என பஞ்ச் வைப்பாராம். இவ்வாறாக முதல் ரவுண்ட் டிஸ்கஷனில் ஆரம்பக் காட்சிகள் பேசப்பட்டிருப்பதாகத் தெரிகிறது. கிட்டத்தட்ட ‘குரு & சிஷ்யன்’ பாணியில் ரஜினி & பிரபு காம்பினேஷனில் காமெடியில் பின்னப் போகிற படம்.

ரஜினி தன் தோற்றத்தில் மிகக் கவனமாக இருக்கிறார். ‘‘பாபா படத்தில் மீசை இல்லாம, லேசா தாடி வெச்ச முகத்தோட வந்ததை நம்ம ஃபேன்ஸ் ரசிக்கலை. அதனால அழுத்தமா மீசையோட பண்ணிக்கலாம். தேவைப்பட்டா ஃபிரெஞ்ச் தாடி வெச்சுக்கலாம். ஹேர்ஸ்டைல் கிட்டத்தட்ட ‘ராஜாதிராஜா’ ஸ்டைல்ல பண்ணிர லாம்’’ என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறார் ரஜினி.

எல்லா வேலைகளும் மும்முரமாக நடந்தாலும் முக்கியமான சிக்கல் ‘ஆர்ட்டிஸ்ட் செலக்ஷன்’தான்!

மூன்று மாதங்கள் தொடர்ச்சியான கால்ஷீட் என்பதால் பிரபல ஸ்டார்கள் சிலருக்குத் தயக்கம். இதுவரை முடிவாகியிருப்பது ரஜினி, பிரபு, சிம்ரன் மூவர் மட்டும்தான். காமெடிக்கு வடிவேலுவைக் கேட்க, அவரோ பயங்கர பிஸி. ரஜினிக்கு யார் ஜோடி என்பதில்தான் பெரிய அலசலே நடந்து முடிந்திருக்கிறது. ஆரம்பத்தி லேயே பிரபுவுக்கு ஜோடி சிம்ரன் என்பது முடிவாகிவிட்டது. சிம்ரனும் சந்தோஷமாகவே ஒப்புக்கொண்டார்.

குருவுக்கு ஜோடி? ராணிமுகர்ஜி... மறுபடியும் மனீஷா கொய்ராலா..? ஜோதிகா... கோபிகா என்று பலரையும் யோசிக்க, ரஜினியின் சாய்ஸ்... ஐஸ்வர்யா ராய்!

ஐஸ் எங்கே இருக்கிறார்? மும்பையிலா அல்லது வெளிநாட்டிலா? என்ன பட வேலை? அவர் கால்ஷீட் கிடைக்குமா? எனத் தேடிக் கிளம்பிய வர்களுக்கு அதிர்ச்சி. லண்டனில் இந்திப் படப்பிடிப்பில் இருந்த ஐஸ்வர்யாவிடம், விஷயத்தைச் சொல்ல... ‘‘வாவ்.. ரஜினி சார் படமா? எப்போ பண்றார்?’’ என்றாராம் ஆர்வமாக. ‘‘அடுத்த மாசம் ஷ¨ட்டிங். ஃப்ளாஷ்பேக்லதான் வர்றீங்க. ஒரு வாரம் கால்ஷீட் போதும்’’ என்றிருக் கிறார்கள். ‘‘வெரி ஸாரி. ஏற்கெனவே ஒப்புக்கொண்ட வேலைகள் நிறைய இருக்கே’’ என்று சொல்லி விட்டாராம் ஐஸ்வர்யா ராய்.

தமிழ்நாட்டுக்கு மட்டுமே முகத்தைக் காட்டுவதற்கு ஏழு நாட்கள் செலவழிக்க வேண்டுமா? அந்த நேரத்தில் ஒரு விளம்பரப் படத்தில் நடித்தால்கூட இந்தியா முழுக்க எக்ஸ்போஷர் கிடைக்குமே என்ற ரீதியிலும் அவர் எண்ணுவதாகச் சொல்கிறார்கள். அதுவும் கதாநாயகியாக இல்லாமல், ஒரு கௌரவ பாத்திரமாக நடிக்க அவருக்கு விருப்பம் இல்லையாம்.

போய் வந்தவர்கள் விஷயத்தை ரஜினியிடம் தயங்கியபடியே சொல்ல... ‘‘இல்ல... ஐஸ்தான் சரியா வரும். அவங்க நடிச்சா ஒரு அட்ராக்ஷன் இருக்கும்’’ என்றாராம் தீர்மானமாக.

‘ஜீன்ஸ்’ படத் தயாரிப்பாளர்களுள் ஒருவரான டாக்டர் முரளிமனோகர் தற்போது லண்டனில் இருக்கிறார். ரஜினிக்கும், சிவாஜி குடும்பத்துக்கும் நெருக்கமானவர் என்பதால், இவர் மூலமாகப் பேசிப் பார்க்கலாம் என்றும் நினைக்கிறார்களாம். ‘ஜீன்ஸ்’ சமயத்தில், முரளி மனோகரின் மனைவி டாக்டர் சுனந்தா, தமிழகத்தில் உள்ள முக்கியமான கோயில்களுக்கெல்லாம் ஐஸ்வர்யா ராயை அழைத்துச் சென்று காண்பித்தாராம். சுனந்தாமீது அவருக்குத் தனிப் பிரியம் உண்டு.

Ever since Rajnikanth announced his new film Chandramukhi with Sivaji Productions, the Tamil newspapers are full of stories -- genuine and imagined -- about it.

Ram Kumar, Sivaji Ganesan's eldest son, who is producing the latest Rajni film along with his younger brother Prabhu, talks exclusively to rediff.com about how the film came about.

It has been 12 years since you made your 49th film. All of a sudden, you are making a film with Rajnikanth.

This is also the 50th year of Sivaji Films! Two years ago, while we were talking, Rajnikanth said we should do something to celebrate the 50th year.

Four weeks ago, he called me on a Sunday afternoon, and asked what I was doing. I told him I had had a lot of biryani and was spending time with my sons!

He laughed in his stylish way, and then asked if I was doing any new production. I told him we are thinking of doing a Hindi film with Rajkumar Santoshi in March. We are also doing a Telugu serial which my cousins are looking after. I was quite free at the time.

That's when he asked me, 'Shall we do a film, Ramu?'

It came as a pleasant surprise. On a Sunday afternoon, after a heavy lunch, this suggestion from Rajnikanth was like superb dessert! I said, 'I am very happy sir.' He told me he had heard a subject, and we would make a film on that.

Is it based on the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu as it has been reported everywhere? Apparently, Rajnikanth saw its Kannada version and was very impressed.

I don't want to say Chandramukhi is going to be based on this film or that film. The outline of the film is based on a couple of films but you know, we have to write a screenplay to suit Rajnikanth.

We have changed the story a lot. I don't want to give you the story right now. You might as well see it on screen.

Why so much secrecy?

It's show business! Certain things in show business are kept under wraps.

There was a lot of secrecy about his last film, Baba, too. But that did not help the film.

There's no secrecy at all. I haven't seen Manichitrathazhu. It's Vasu's story. We heard the story and liked it. I don't want to lie. Neither do I want to tell the truth! (laughs)

Rajnikanth was very happy with the story and he asked me to convey the message to Vasu. It so happened that Vasu was walking out of the Guruvayur temple when Prabhu called him.

When Prabhu conveyed the news that we were producing a film with Rajnikanth and he was directing it, he was in tears. He was elated, and so were we! Then all of us went to meet Rajnikanth in Bangalore, and started talking more about the film.

Is it true that at the silver jubilee function of Mannan, Rajnikant spoke about acting in the 50th film of Sivaji Productions, and that was why he called you?

At the silver jubilee celebration of Mannan, he said this company made movies very professionally like international companies, and he had to definitely do another film with us. That was long ago. Prabhu had asked him, 'What sir, you have not done a movie for us!'

Ours is an artist's company, and we do movies with actors. If an actor wants to make a movie with us, we produce films.

I know there are many people who wanted to make movies with him but he called me. I would say God works in mysterious ways, and for me, my first God is Sivaji Ganesan, and he is up there doing good things for us.

It has been a long time since you made a film.

Yes, it has been 12 years. Our last film Rajakumaran was made in 1992 with Prabhu. After that, we were concentrating on my father's health. He had a pacemaker so my time was spent on looking after him for five, six years.

After his death, we haven't done anything. We have not produced anything. Only now, I started the production of a Telugu serial.

Although Rajni and Kamal Haasan talk to me regularly, I never imagined we would be producing Rajni's next film.

By November, we will start shooting the film. We are aiming for an April 14 Tamil New Year's Day and Vishu release. It's the holiday season, always a good season to release films.

Is a Rajni film a gold mine or a risk especially after the debacle of Baba?

It's not a risk at all. A lot of people might not know Baba made more money than other Tamil films.

We are planning everything well. There are people who are already ready to buy our film. We have received such positive feedback from every quarter that I feel I have already made a good film. You won't believe so many people have offered poojas for the success of this film. I am receiving messages from not only Tamil Nadu but also from Karnataka, Kerala and the Middle East as well. The hype has created so much demand for the movie that every area, I have five offices now.

This is before I have started the business. In just two minutes, I can sell the film in each area. In 20 minutes, the whole business of the picture will be over. This is extraordinary. Can you imagine selling a movie in 20 minutes?

Is it the Rajni magic?

It is! It is!

People say Baba was a debacle but people are coming back to buy his film. Everybody is so euphoric about the film. Last time when we did a Rajni film, there were two people for every area. Now, there are five people in every area.

Does the expectation put pressure on you?

I am very cool about everything. I am used to this kind of pressure. Having lived with Sivaji Ganesan, nothing pressurises you. His 200th film was Trisoolam. We had great pressure but the film did 200 days.

The pressure on me is to give a good product to the people, to his (Rajni) fans. I will see that I deliver a good product. My production quality will be very good, I can assure you that. It will be a stylishly made Rajni film.

Where will you shoot the film?

The film will be shot entirely in India. Rajnikanth is one person who prefers to shoot only in India. Thotta Tharani, our art director, is working, and soon, we will decide the location. It would mostly be in Chennai, Karnataka, Kerala, etc. In four months, we will finish shooting, by February 15.

Then we will need two months for post production. We have planned everything meticulously even though everything has to done in a very short time. And, we are famous for pampering all the artists.

Will Chandramukhi be a typical Rajni commercial film?

It will be all that, and more.

Are you excited?

I am very excited because I have never felt so euphoric in many years. I am enjoying the good vibes that is coming from all over!

In Tamil Nadu, there is only one superstar.

You needn't name him. If you say superstar, it is understood who you are referring to.

Any bit of news about the superstar, his films or political views is big news. Every word uttered by him, every expression of his is analysed threadbare and new meanings are deduced. Even his dialogues on screen are carefully studied and scrutinised.

Yes, I am talking about Rajnikanth.

The power and charisma of this man, clad in white with white hair and a white stubble is such that every time he announces a new film, the media goes wild with excitement. Of course, the amount of speculation and rumours that go with the announcement of each film of his is also unparalleled.

Rajni's last film Baba (2002) was made with much secrecy, like his earlier films. Unfortunately, the suspense before its release gave rise to a lot of speculation and expectation. And that went against the film because it could not live up to expectations.

The makers of Baba realised that only a good story and novel treatment could make a Rajni film a success. Rajni, in a magnificent gesture, compensated the distributors for their losses.

Last year, the actor announced that his next film would be Jaggu Bhai, and photographs of Rajni dressed up as Jaggu Bhai were circulated. But it did not progress beyond that.

Last week, it was heard that Rajni's new film will be launched soon, and it would not be Jaggu Bhai, but another film called Chandramukhi.

The 'story' that goes around is that Rajni, who was holidaying and meditating in Bangalore, happened to see a Kannada film that is running houseful -- Aaptamitra. It stars Vishnuvardhan and the late Soundarya (she died in an air accident while on a promotion tour for the BJP during the general election), and is said to be the remake of Fazil's Malayalam classic Manichitrathazhu.

The film is directed by P Vasu who had earlier directed three of Rajni's Tamil films -- Panakkaran, Uzhaippali and Mannan. All three were super hits.

The grapevine has it that Rajni, who was so impressed with Aaptamitra, wanted P Vasu to remake it in Tamil.

Enter Sivaji Productions, associated with the late thespian Sivaji Ganesan, planning its 50th film.

The 49th film from Sivaji Productions, Rajakumaran starring son Prabhu, was made way back in 1992. Due to various reasons, they had to wait for 12 long years to make their next film.

Rajni's Mannan was also a Sivaji production. Rajni had announced at the jubilee celebrations of Mannan, in Sivaji's presence that he would act in their 50th film.

And when Ram Kumar, Sivaji's elder son, contacted Rajni to discuss his starring in their 50th film, he had already seen Aaptamitra and talked to P Vasu. The cards fell in place, and Ram Kumar and Prabhu of Sivaji Productions decided to produce Chandramukhi, which will be directed by P Vasu.

The shooting of the film is scheduled to start on November 1, Ram Kumar said.

Fazil's Manichitrathazhu starring Mohanlal, Shobhana and Suresh Gopi is considered an 'evergreen' film. Even after a decade, the film is watched with great interest by the people of Kerala. The film had unadulterated and sophisticated comedy, great suspense, mystery, thrill, and above all, excellent performances.

Even though Shobhana won her first National Award for her performance as a schizophrenic in Manichitrathazhu, it was Mohanlal who won hearts. Mohanlal as Dr Sunny, an eccentric and very funny psychiatrist, was a delight to watch.

No wonder Rajni got excited about the character. In Manichitrathazhu, Mohanlal makes his appearance only minutes before the interval, but Chandramukhi will definitely be written with the superstar in mind, and with Manichitrathazhu only as the base.

If Chandramukhi is indeed inspired (indirectly) by Manichitrathazhu, the female character is extremely important. Names of Simran, Sneha and Reema Sen are going around. Prabhu is said to be doing the role enacted by Suresh Gopi, who was Shobhana's husband in the film.

The story of Manichitrathazhu takes place with a young couple, Ganga (Shobhana) and Nakulan (Suresh Gopi) arriving at the ancestral home of the latter. As a school girl, Ganga had grown up imbibing her grandmother's ghost stories in their ancestral home. She was transplanted to Kolkata after school. Her mind, which had forgotten all those stories suddenly comes alive when she and her husband came to live in his 'haunted' ancestral home. The story comes alive with Dr Sunny's arrival.

If Chandramukhi recreates the drama and sophistication of Manichitrathazhu, Rajni's new film may avoid the fate of Baba, and Sivaji Productions will have a winner in their hands.

மோகன்லால் நடித்த `மணிச்சித்ரதாள்' என்ற மலையாள படத்தை தழுவி, `சந்திரமுகி'யின் கதை அமைக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதாக, சினிமா வட்டாரத்தில் பரவலாக பேசப்படுகிறது.

இதுபற்றி டைரக்டர் பி.வாசு விடம் `தினத்தந்தி' நிருபர் கேட் Öர். அதற்கு பதில் அளித்து பி.வாசு கூறியதாவது:-

பேய் கிடையாது

``சந்திரமுகி, மணிச்சித்ரதாள் படத்தை தழுவிய கதை அல்ல. அது, ஒரு பேயையும், பேய் ஓட்டுபவரையும் பற்றிய கதை.

இது வேறு கதை. இதில் பேய் கிடையாது. ரஜினிகாந்த் பேய் ஓட்டுபவரும் அல்ல.

`மணிச்சித்ரதாள்' படத்தில் மோகன்லால், இடைவேளை சம யத்தில்தான் `என்ட்ரி' ஆவார்.

ரஜினியை அப்படி காட்டினால், ரசிகர்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொள் வார்களா?

`சந்திரமுகி' படத்தின் கதை, என் பெயரில் வருகிறது. `மணிச்சித்ரதாள்' படத்தை திரும்ப எடுத்தால், ``கதை: பி.வாசு'' என்று போட முடியுமா?

வதந்தி பரப்புபவர்களை பற்றி நாங்கள் கவலைப்படவில்லை.

``அவர்கள் வேலையை அவர்கள் செய்யட்டும். நம் வேலையை நாம் செய்வோம்'' என்று ரஜினி சார் சொல்லிவிட்டார்.

``தலைவர் படத்துக்குப் போய் `சந்திரமுகி' என்று ஒரு பெண் ணின் பெயரை டைட்டிலாக வைத்து இருக்கிறீர்களே?'' என்று ஒரு ரசிகர் என்னிடம் ஆதங்கப் பட்டார்.

எம்.ஜி.ஆர். புகழின் உச்சத்தில் இருந்தபோதுதான் `மகாதேவி' என்ற படத்தில் நடித்தார். அவருடைய சொந்த படத்துக்கு `அடிமைப்பெண்' என்று பெயர் சூட்டினார்.

சிம்ரன்

`சந்திரமுகி'யில் 2 கதாநாயகி கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். அதில் ஒரு கதாநாயகியாக சிம்ரன் ஒப்பந்தம் செய்யப்பட்டு விட்டார்.

இன்னொரு கதாநாயகியை தேடி வருகிறோம். அனேகமாக அது மும்பையை சேர்ந்த புதுமுகமாக இருக்கலாம்.''

ஜாதகத்தால் ‘ஜகா’ ஆன ஜக்குபாய்?!

ஜாதகத்தால் ‘ஜகா’ ஆன ஜக்குபாய்?!
ரஜினியின் அடுத்த படம் Ôசந்திரமுகிÕ என்ற அறிவிப்பு எத்தனை சூடு கிளப்பியிருக்கிறதோ, அதே அளவுக்கு Ô‘ஜக்குபாய்’ கைவிடப்பட்டதா?Õ என்ற கேள்வியும் ரசிகர்களைக் குடையத் துவங்கியிருக்கிறது. Ôஆமாம், கே.எஸ்.ரவிக்குமார் இயக்கத்தில் ரஜினி தயாரித்து நடிப்பதாக இருந்த ‘ஜக்குபாய்’ டிராப் ஆகிவிட்டதுÕ என்பதுதான் கோடம்பாக்கத்தில் பரவலாகக் கிடைக்கிற செய்தி.

ஆனால், ரஜினி தரப்பிலிருந்து இதற்கு இதுவரை விளக்கமோ பதிலோ இல்லை. அதனாலேயே, ‘ஜக்குபாய் இனி மொத்தமாக ஜகாதான். ஆயிரம் காரணங்கள் இருந்தாலும், பிரதானமான காரணம், ரஜினியின் ஜோதிட நம்பிக்கைÕ என்று கோடம் பாக்கத்தில் நம்பவே முடியாத ஒரு தகவல் பரவிக்கிடக்கிறது.

ÔÔதன்னோட ஜாதகத்தையும் இயக்குநர் கே.எஸ்.ரவிக்குமார் ஜாதகத்தையும் கொஞ்சம் லேட்டா ஒரு பிரபல ஜோதிடரிடம் ரஜினி காட்டியிருக்கார். Ôஇப்போதைய கிரக நிலைப்படி இரு ஜாதகங்களுக்கும் இணையும் ராசியில்லைÕ என்று அந்த ஜோதிடர் சொல்லி விட்டார். இதை ரவிக்குமாரிடம் எப்படிச் சொல்வது என்று ரொம்பவே தயங்கினார் ரஜினி. ஒருவழியாக, சில நாட்களுக்கு முன் ஒரு மாலை வேளையில் நட்சத்திர ஓட்டலுக்கு ரவிக்குமாரை அழைத்தார் ரஜினி. அவரிடம் பொது வான பல விஷயங்களை மனம் விட்டுப் பேசிக் கொண்டிருந்த ரஜினி, கிட்டத்தட்ட அதிகாலை நெருங்கும் நேரத்தில் அந்தத் தகவலை வெளியிட்டார். Ôரவி! ‘ஜக்குபா’யைக் கொஞ்சம் தள்ளி வைப்போம்Õ என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு, மின்னலாகக் கிளம்பிவிட்டார்ÕÕ என்கின்றன, கோடம்பாக்கத்தின் செய்தி&கம்&வதந்தி பட்சிகள்!

இது எந்தளவுக்கு உண்மையோ தெரியாது. ஆனால், Ôரவிக்குமாருக்கு பதில் Ôஜக்குபாய்Õ படத்தை பி.வாசு இயக்குகிறார்Õ என்று சினிமா வட்டாரத்தினர் சில நாட்களுக்கு முன்பு பேச ஆரம்பித்தார்கள். கடைசியில் பார்த்தால், படமே வேறு! அதுவும் சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷன்ஸில்!
கே.எஸ்.ரவிக்குமார்

கே.எஸ்.ரவிக்குமாரை அவரது மொபைல் போனில் நாம் தொடர்பு கொண்டோம். திரும்புகிற பக்கமெல்லாம் அவரிடம் Ôஜக்குபாய் உண்டா, இல்லையாÕ என்றே கேட்டுத் தொணப்பியிருப்பார்கள் போல! விளக்கம் சொல்லியே கடுகடுத்துப் போயிருந் தார் அவர். வழக்கமாக வெடிச் சிரிப்பும் கலகல வார்த்தைகளுமாக பத்திரிகையாளர் களுடன் பேசுகிற அவர், ரொம்பசிக்கன மாகவே பேசினார். அந்த போன் உரையாடலை இங்கே தருகிறோம்.

‘‘வணக்கம் சார்! விகடன்லேர்ந்து பேசறோம்...’’


‘‘ம்...என்ன விஷயம்?’’

‘‘ஜக்குபாய் டிராப் ஆயிடுச்சுனு சொல்றாங்களே..?’’

‘‘சரி, ‘ஜக்குபாய்’ கதையோட அவுட்லைன் என்னனு சொல்லுங்களேன்?’’

‘‘கதைய சொல்றதா?! அதெல்லாம் நான் சொல்லக்கூடாதுங்க. ரஜினி சார்தான் சொல்லணும்.ÕÕ

ÔÔஒருவேளை அந்தக் கதையால தேவையில்லாத பிரச்னை வரும்னு ரஜினி நினைச்சாரா?ÕÕ

ÔÔஅந்தப் படம் இப்போதைக்கு இல்லை. ஒருவேளை Ôசந்திரமுகிÕ முடிஞ்சவுடனே அதே கதையை ரஜினி சார் பண்ணலாம்.ÕÕ

ÔÔஅப்புறம்... உங்க ஜாதகம் ரஜினி ஜாதகத்தோட பொருந்தி வராததால் தான் படம் டிராப்னு பேசிக்கிறாங்களே?ÕÕ

ÔÔஎன்னது?! ஏங்க... ஒரு படம் ஓடறதுக்கு கதை நல்லாயிருக்கானுதான் பார்ப்பாங்க. ஜாதகத்தையா பார்ப்பாங்க? ஜாதகத்தை வெச்சா படம் எடுக்க முடியும்? என் ஜாதகமெல் லாம் நல்லாத்தான் இருக்கு. போதும், இன்னும் விளக்கமா பேசணும்னா ரெண்டு மூணு நாள் கழிச்சு போன் பண்ணுங்க. வணக்கம்!’’ என்றார் கே.எஸ்.ரவிக்குமார்.

விளக்கம் கிடைத்துவிட்ட திருப்தியில் நாமும் போனை வைத்தோம்.

ராயப்பேட்டையில் உள்ள சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் அலுவலகம் திருவிழா கோலத்துக்கு மாறிவிட்டது. அங்கே முழுக்க முழுக்க Ôசந்திரமுகிÕ பேச்சுத்தான். குஷியாக இருந்தார் சிவாஜியின் மூத்த மகன் ராம்குமார்.

ÔÔரஜினி சாரேதான் கூப்பிட்டு இந்த சந்தோஷ முடிவைச் சொன்னார். ஸ்வீட் சர்ப்ரைஸ் எங்களுக்கு!’’ என்றவர், ‘சந்திரமுகி’ பற்றி ஆரம்பித்தார். ‘‘இப்போதைக்கு Ôஅவுட் லைன்Õ ரெடியாகியிருக்கு. கதை கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமா டெவலப் ஆகிறதை அணுஅணுவா ரசிச்சுக்கிட்டிருக்கேன். கதை விவாதம் நடந்தபோது பல இடங் கள்ல நானே என்னை மறந்து, கைத்தட்டி ரசிச்சேன். ஆக்ஷன், காமெடி மட்டுமில் லாம, ஜனங்களுக்குப் பிடிச்ச மாதிரி பலவிதமான பொழுதுபோக்கு அம்சங் களை அள்ளித் தெளிக்கப் போறோம். அதுல ஒரு காரெக்டரில் பிரபு நடிக்கணும் என்பதையும் ரஜினி சாரேதான் சொன் னார். சேகர் ஜோசப் காமிரா, வித்யாசாகர் மியூஸிக்னு ப்ளான் பண்ணியிருக்கோம். மத்தபடி யார் யார் நடிக்கப் போறாங்கன்றதெல்லாம் இனிதான் முடிவாகணும்.ÕÕ

ÔÔÔசந்திரமுகிÕ என்பது புகழ் பெற்ற Ôதேவதாஸ்Õ காவியத்தில் வருகிற ஒரு பெண்ணின் பெயராக இருக்கிறதே?ÕÕ

ÔÔஆமாம். Ôசந்திரமுகிÕ என்ற காரெக்டர்தான் இந்த கதையின் மையம். ஃபேமிலி, எமோஷன்னு பிரமாதமான கதையா வந்திருக்கு. இந்தப் படத்திலே, ரஜினியோட பல்வேறு பரிமாணங் களையும் தமிழ் ரசிகர்கள் பார்ப் பாங்கÕÕ என்று நம்பிக்கையோடு சொன்னார்.

நீண்ட இடைவெளிக்குப் பிறகு மீண்டும் தமிழில் பி.வாசு. தான் நடிக்கிற படங்களுக்கு அவ்வளவு சுலபத்தில் இயக்குநரை முடிவு செய்பவரல்ல ரஜினி. கதையும் அப்படித்தான். கதை விவாதம் என்று உட்கார்ந்தால் கணக்கற்ற மாற்றங்களும் அபிப்பிராயங்களும் சொல்பவர். பி.வாசுவைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து, அவரது கதைக்கு எப்படி ஓ.கே. சொன்னார் ரஜினி? வாசுவே பேசுகிறார்.

ÔÔகன்னடத்தில் என் னோட Ôஆப்த மித்ராÕவைப் பார்த்துட்டு, ரஜினியே போனில் கூப்பிட்டுப் பேசினார். Ôநான் ÔசேதுÕ படத்தைப் பார்த்துட்டு பாலாவைத் தேடினேன். Ôஆட்டோகிராஃப்Õ பார்த்துட்டு சேரனுக்குப் பாராட்டு சொன்னேன். உங்க Ôஆப்த மித்ராÕ என்னை ரொம்பக் கவர்ந்துடுச்சு. ஃபண்டாஸ்டிக்Õ அப்படின்னார். சட்னு, Ôஉங்களுக்கு ஏத்த மாதிரிகூட கதையிருக்குÕனு நான் சொல்ல, Ôசென்னை வந்ததும் பாருங்கÕன்னாரு.

ரொம்ப நாளைக்குப் பிறகு ரஜினியைச் சந்திச்சேன். கதையைச் சொன்னேன். கண்மூடிக் கேட்டார். பிடிச்சுதா, இல்லையானு ஒரு வார்த்தைகூடச் சொல்லலை. Ôபோன் பண்றேன்Õனு சொல்லிட்டார்.

நாலைந்து நாளைக்கு முன்னாடி குடும்பத்தோடு குருவாயூர் போயிருந்தேன். தரிசனம் முடிச்சு வெளியே வந்தப்போ செல்போன் அடிச்சுது. பிரபு பேசினார். எந்தப் பீடிகையும் போடலை. Ôவாசு, நம்ம சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷனுக்காக ரஜினி சார் நடிச்சுக் கொடுக்கறார். நீங்கதான் டைரக்டர்Õனு சொன்னார்.

சட்னு கண்ல தண்ணி வந்துடுச்சு. நிமிர்ந்து குருவாயூர் கோபுரத்தைப் பார்க்கிறேன். பேச்சே வரலை கொஞ்ச நேரத்துக்கு.ÕÕ

ÔÔமுடிவான பிறகு ரஜினியைப் பார்த்தீங்களா..?ÕÕ

ÔÔபார்த்தேன். Ôபளிச்Õசுனு சிரிச்சுக்கிட்டே கை கொடுத்தார். திருநீறு நிறைஞ்ச நெத்தியோட இருந்தார். Ôரொம்ப நன்றிÕ என்றேன். Ôஎனக்கெதுக்கு நன்றி? எல்லாமே கடவுள் செய்யறது. அவர் நினைக்கறதை மீறி நடந்துடுமா?Õனு அமைதியா சொன்னார் ரஜினிÕÕ என்ற வாசுவிடம்,
